Literally huge amounts of players are trying to be the next "star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more noteworthy "charming guys" of poker. Even though "nice" is connected with their names when you are sitting accross the table from them it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have removed you out of the game!
Daniel Negreanu
In 2004, his competition payouts amounted to in the region of four and a half million dollars and he came away with 2 immensely admired awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In Feb 2006 he was appointed Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. He even still has the decency to speak to his admirers about how they will be able to improve their own game.
Howard Lederer
Known as "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His accomplishments have lead to him making an educational video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also holding a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his total life earnings surpass $2.7 million.
Scotty Nguyen
Scott is one of the most active players in professional poker and between Two Thousand to Two Thousand and Four he ranked in the money in well over 100 events. He’s noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker games and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when referring to a exceptionally bad defeat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time earnings are almost $6 million.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has won 5 WSOP titles with two of his successes happening in Two Thousand and Three. Chris has the alias "Jesus" due to his characteristic long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw cards quick enough to cut through pickles and bananas. As of Two Thousand and Five his total poker tournament earnings exceeded five million dollars.
